The Museum operates within the Botanic Garden, botanic material being exhibited, increased and preserved with educational and cultural purposes. Knowledge on collected material is spread, in order to bring the Museum nearer to the community, in particular to educational institutions. Abstracts for the publication of works, and descriptive brochures for divulgation are prepared in the Museum, together with the gathering classification and preparation of botanic material for its exhibition. Among many interesting things, neatly presented in glass showcases, visitors may appreciate Argentina flora; aborigines food and their ethnographic distribution; different classification of plants, starting from unicellular ones, through lower plants, algae, funguses, cryptogams (bryophytes and thallophytes), phanerogams (gymnospennae), angiospermae (monocotyledoneae or dico ledoneae). Also, precise descriptions are offered of the seed, root, stem, leaf and flower. All the fascinating world of botany, instructively exhibited.
