This

the Association of Notaries Public of the Province of Buenos Aires.
Reproductions of deeds are exhibited, together with old law books
related to the activities carried out by notaries public; reproductions
on wax tablets of cuneiform writing and hieroglyphics; utensils
used for writing; a collection of sealing wax sticks to seal public
documents; old typewriters, paintings and notarial letters. Some
of these letters date back to 1552, and there are also deeds of
marital agreements delivered in Italy (1519); notarial letters
on parchment (1569); different types of calligraphy used in deeds
dated in 1799, and Spanish documents dating back to 1617 and the
18th century. The library houses notarial bibliography dated before
and after the Independence, bibliography consulted by Dalmacio
Vélez Sársfield to prepare the Civil Code, and its first edition
(1870). The Museum was named after its donor and founder, Notary
Public Roberto Mario Arata, and contains approximately 300 exhibits.
