The first division of neighbourhoods made in Buenos Aires were Cathedral to the North and Cathedral to the South. This last one includes what nowadays are the neighbourhoods of Montserrat, San Telmo and La Boca.
San Telmo is the oldest of the city, its constructions reflects the architecture of the Centuries XIX and the beginnings of the XX. A lot of artist and craftsmen are living in the old colonial houses called "conventillos".

This nieghbourhood of the antiques and variety of objects, excellent restaurants and places to dance tangos. The Plaza Dorrego, historic place, where every Sunday from 10 to 17hs. takes place the popular "Feria de Antigüedades de San Pedro González Telmo" (antiques feria). The house of Castgnino where he lived, in 1968, the painter Juan Carlos Castagnino (1908-1972), known for the illustrations in the Martín Fierro, book by José Hernández.
