Two sites have been selected to become onsite museums, namely, Piedra Negra 2, a settlement belonging to the Formative Period, and Caranchi Tambo, dating back to the pre-Incaic Period. Guided visits also cover sites with prehistoric paintings: over a dozen pictographs and petroglyphs that portray aesthetic expressions in the region.

Laguna Blanca
Laguna Blanca is located on provincial route No. 43 on the road that leads to Antofagasta de la Sierra. The waters of this lake are not very deep, and are frequently visited by flamingoes, puna teals and crested ducks.
