This
is a Historial museum as well as a museum of natural sciences. Its
six halls exhibit fossil remains from the Tertiary and Quaternary
Periods and pre and post-Colunmbian pottery. It also has halls devoted
to paleontology and archaeology in which lithic objects are exhibited
in addition to plaster replicas of the evolution of man. In the
sector devoted to history there is documentation concerning the
plotting of boundaries between Chaco and Santiago del Estero as
well as the "Ernesto Castellani" collection. The museum occupies
a building dating from 1929 and also houses early 20th century furniture.

Se encuentra a 380 kilómetros de la ciudad de Resistencia y se llega
desde la capital provincial por la ruta nacionales N° 16 y luego
por la provincial 94.
