	It is rich in plant and animal life. The vegetation is comprised of red quebrachos, carob trees, guayacanes and dense caranday palm groves. Toucans, herons, storks, bandurrias, parrots, carpenter birds, monkeys, foxes, snakes, otters, carpinchos and yacaré alligators are all in abundance.
