Its
name comes from the Comodore Martín Rivadavia, sent by the
national government to study the possibilty of the construction
of a port.
Making
holes looking for water petroleum was discovered. This changed
the economy of Argentina and the town is now a modern city
with big companies.
The
petroleum was discovered in December 3rd. of 1907 and that
day is remember and celebrated as the National Party of the
Petroleum.
