In
the lakes, rivers and streams of the Esquel zone, are poblated
by different fishs species of great amount and quality.
It one of the most important places in the Patagonia Argentina
for the sport fishing. In spanish the species are: Salmón
encerrado (Salmo salar sebago), la Trucha marrón (Salmo trutta),
la Trucha de arroyo (Salvelinus fontinalis), trucha de lago
(Salvelinus namaychush), trucha Arco Iris (Oncorhynchus mykiss),
el salmón del pacífico (Oncorhynchus spp), Perca (Percychtys
spp), pejerrey Patagónico (Patagonina hatcheri = Odontesthes
microlepidotus), Pejerrey bonaerense (Odontesthes bonariensis)
and Carpa (Cyprinus carpio). The native species (bagres, puyenes,
peladillas, etc.) should be returned alive to the water, with
the smaller possible damage.
For
this sport you should have a permission and follow the regulations.

The
season is opened approximate in the second weekend of november
until the second weekend of april of the following year.
Wash
every equipment you bring, because in Argentina is no Whirling
Disease, and we don´t want it.
