It
is supposed that is was founded in 28 of July of 1865, date
that the first 150 welshmen arrived to this coast in the ship
¨Mimosa¨ and name this natural port "Puerto Madryn" for Mr.
Love Jones Parry, who was barón of Madryn in Wales. The town
grew when the Italian, Welsh and Spain inmigrants build the
railroad, that unites, Puerto Madryn with Trelew.
In
the ´50 it started to be a touristic place for the region,
and industries started growing. Now is one of the Argentine
places that a tourist should go.
