Agua de Oro contains an extense land, that includes many importan
spots as El Sauce (settle of canteras), Candonga (historic
chapel from the XVIII century with very important objects
made by natives), Cerro Azul, El Algodonal, El Guayco and
an ample rural zone.
The
lands where owned by the cacique Ani-Mí, that in the moment
of the foundation of Córdoba, received in peace the spanish
conquerors in the year 1585. The attractives around the river
Agua de Oro, produced the settle of conquerors,who built the
chapel of San Vicente Ferrer, in the year 1740and now is,
with Nuestra Señora del Rosario in Candonga, an important
tourist spot. Here the tourist can make excursions, climb,
trek, horse riding, sports, etc. or relax.
