This
musewn comprises 5 halls and a library. One of its halls harbors
an exhibition of works by plastic artists from Corrientes and the
rest of the country. Amongst its most treasured possessions there
is a small angel head from the pulpit of the church of Curuzú Cuatía
dating from 1776, the bed that belonged to Governor Berón de Astrada,
the baptismal font from the first Church of Pilar dating from the
19th century, an ornithomorphic vessel in the shape of an owl belonging
to the Mochica culture dafing from the 6th century A.D., and an
anthropomorphic vessel pertaining to the Chincha period of the 2nd
century A.D.

Curuzú Cuatiá lies320km. away from the city of Corrientes. In order
to get there from the provincial capital, one must travel down nacional
route No.12 towards the south up to its intersection with nacional
route No. 123, then switch to this route until it crosses nacional
route No.119, and finally follow this route up to Curuzú Cuatiá.
