This
museum harbors two halls devoted to regional history. Exhibits include
a wooden corn grinder from the turn of the century, cannon balls
used during the War of the Triple Alliance, a shawl dating from
1890 that belonged to the Virgin of Pain, a portico carved in wood
from the old church of St. Cosme and a bronze 19th century cutlery
set. The museum functions in an 18th century house where General
Bartolomé Mitre spent the night in 1865 during the campaign he led
in the War of the Triple Alliance.
