"Dr. Amado Bompland" Museum of Natural Sciences

This museum comprases 8 halls devoted to natural sciences and archaeology. Amongst the exhibits there is an amazing wasp-hive measuring approximately one square meter discovered on Mera island. There is a collection of insects from all over the world, as well as reptiles, amphibians, fishes and mineral rocks. The museum operates in the basement of the "Del Centenario" School but has no connection with it.

Corrientes
The city of Corrientes, located on the banks of the Paraná River is the capital of the province of Corrientes- It lies 860km -Way from the Federal Capital. In order to get there from Buenos Aires, one must travel down national route No. 9 up to its intersection with national route No. 12. One must then take this route to Cross the Zarate-Brazo Largo railway complex and then carry on down it up to Corrientes. Amongst the attractions worth visiting are the convents of San Francisco (st. Francis) and de la Merced (of Mercy),covered with Carrara marble, and the church of the Holy Cross of Miracles.
