Alfredo Ferreyra" Municipal Museum

This
museum has only one hall devoted to regional history and also harbors
some paleontological pieces. Exhibits include documents dating from
1810 and 1811 and the titles of important local personalities, as
well as a collection of paper money and coins. It also has copies
of issues No.1 through 41 of "La Unión" daily, a newspaper edited
between 1903 and 1904 that was a mouthpiece of the Autonomous Party.
Amongst the paleontological pieces on display, there are some toxodon
eggs found in the Vega River and a petrified trunk discovered in
the area.
Esquina
Esquina lies 328km away from the city of Corrientes on national
route No. 12. It is situated 3km away from the Paraná River and
derives its name (esquina: corner)from the bend describes by the
river in the area where the town stands.
