This museum is devoted to natural sciences, archaeology and regional history. It also houses a library and a historical archive. Amongst the most noteworthy exhibits on display there is a series of pre-Columbian earthenware pieces discovered in the surrounding area, utensils belonging to the Guaycurú Indians, remains of candelabra made by the Guaraní Indians, a collection of arrowheads, a book from the cemetery dating from 1870 and bone remains of lestodons and mylodons. The museum occupies a house dating from 1845 that still preserves its original floors.
