This museum comprises one large hall that was part of the old church dating from 1773. There are 22 marble gravestones on the floor pertaining to some of the colonizers. Worthy of mentioning are the images carved in cedar wood by the Indians of the Franciscan reductions. Exhibits also include a cooking pot dating from 1838 that belonged to the Paraguayan army, military uniforms from the wars waged during the 19th century, cannonballs, lances, bows and arrows, 18th century mass books and an image of San (St.) Roque carved in polychrome wood. The original construction is made of adobe with walls that are a meter and a half thick. The roof is made of 8-meter-long carved whole trunks.
