This
museum comprises three permanent exhibition halls and a gallery
where Jesuitical renuins are on display. Santo Tomé was a Jesuitical
reduction founded in 1632. The museum was founded in 1963 and harbors
a large number of remnants of the mission such as fragments of columns,
stone carvings that belonged to the church a millstone, a sun clock
and a baptismal font.

Santo Tomé is situated on the Uruguay River 340km. away from
the city of Corrientes. One can get there from the provincial capital
by taking national route No. 12, provincial route No. 38 and national
route No. 14.
