This
museum comprises one large exhibition hall containing old-fashioned
weapons used by the police, blotters of famous criminals such as
"Mate cocido" and his band a 765 caliber gun of 1900, a German machine
gun used during World War II capable of delivering a fire of 400
bullets per minute, telecommunication system used by the police
in different periods, photographs of accidents, helmets and old-fashioned
masks. Exhibits also include tabas (knucklebone used for playing
a popular rural game), roulettes and dice sequestered from clandestine
gambling houses.
Corrientes
The city of Corrientes, located on the banks of the Paraná River
is the capital of the province of Corrientes- It lies 860km -Way
from the Federal Capital. In order to get there from Buenos Aires,
one must travel down national route No. 9 up to its intersection
with national route No. 12. One must then take this route to Cross
the Zarate-Brazo Largo railway complex and then carry on down it
up to Corrientes. Amongst the attractions worth visiting are the
convents of San Francisco (st. Francis) and de la Merced (of Mercy),covered
with Carrara marble, and the church of the Holy Cross of Miracles.
