This
museum functions in a colonial style house dating from 1880 that
harbors valuable pieces related to the history of the region. It
comprises nine halls and three galleries. Exhibits include pieces
of 18th century imagery, a map signed by Alejandro Malaspino dating
from 1791 which already determines the location of the port of "Caballo
Cuateado" (nowadays La Paz), a pulpit carved by in cedar wood that
belonged to the first church in the city, an 18th century telescope
and several documents concerning General Justo José de Urquiza.
Another of its halls exhibits pieces made the Guaraní Charrúa and
Chaná Indians that inhabited this region. There are also several
objects related to immigration, antique furniture and the recreation
of a pulpería equipped with authentic period pieces.

This town is located on the left bank of the Paraná River and is
144km away from the provincial capital down national route No.12.
Sport fishing is practiced at the municipal beach located in the
Berón de Astrada Park.
