This
museum was created in the month of January of 1978 and functions
in the house in which Camila Quiroga, one of the glories of the
Argentine theater was born. It houses objects relates to the foundation
of Villa Libertad Colony (nowadays known as Chajarí) and its area
of influence. One of its halls is devoted to archaeology and exhibits
include arrowheads, stones, boleadoras and pottery belonging to
the Charrúa Indian. There are also several objects related to the
everyday life of the early immigrants as well as newspapers edited
in the town from the beginning of the century, antique furniture
and the study in which all the mayors of Chajarí were sworn into
office.
Chajarí
Chajarí is 341km away from the city of Paraná down national routes
No.18 and 14. Fifteen kilometers away from the city lies the Salto
Grande lake which covers a surface of 78,000 hectares. It is used
for the practice of water sports and there are beaches and restaurants
on its shores.
