This museum occupies a house that was built in1783 and is one of
the oldest in the country. Its colonial style remains intact and
it was originally the home of Francisco Ramírez. It was purchased
by Delio Panizza in 1925. Its nine halls exhibit objects of great
historical value. Worthy of mentioning is an image of St. Joseph
that Urquiza´s father ordered from Spain. There is a Chinese armchair
made of teak that belonged to Delio Panizza. This wood must be left
submerged in water for 100 years in order to work it. One of its
halls is devoted to silverwork and displays the silver spurs that
belonged to Francisco Ramírez which are known as "Weeping Nazarenes".
There is also a large assortment of 19th century furniture and a
French polyphone dating from last century equipped with a roll with
eight melodies, percussion and cymbals that still works.
