This institution was awarded the first prize in the category of American Handicraft Museum in Tenerife in 1997. In its halls one can appreciate the different techniques typical materials employed in the manufacture of crocks, blankets, fabrics, handbags, vests, scarves, lassos, halters, mates (gourds), coach whips thick-lashed whips. Braided wax palm fibers are used as raw material as well as raw hide and wool animal horn.
