This
museum occupies the house that used to belong to the Aedo family.
The only remnants of the original construction that dates back to
1801 are some metal fittings and the wooden door. It harbors furniture
that belonged to the Aedo Villagra family during last century. The
first members of the Aedo family who settled in this area used to
spell their surname without an "h" as it is done nowadays ("Haedo").
Exhibits include a drawing room set in Colonial style, a Thonet
living room set brought from Austria in 1864, a candlestick image
of the Virgin del Carmen dating from the 17th century, documents
signed by General Urquiza, a postcolonial bedroom set(circa 1850),
and a spark pistol from the English Invasions.
