This
museum was founded in 1949 and was named after the archaeologist
Juan Bautista Ambrosetti who was born in Gualeguay in 1865. It harbors
a collection of weapons dating from the period of the argentine
Confederation, wax seals and portraits of General Urquiza, as well
as a collection of fans and hats from the early 20th century. Also
on display are several objects related to Garibaldi who spent six
months in prison in Gualeguay in 1837, a collection of coins and
paper money and old telecommunications equipment.
