This
museum specializes in archaeology and paleontology. It is under
the authority of the University that was created in 1898 and has
a school of medicine and a hospital. It boasts one of the largest
libraries in the province. The museum was organized in 1957 when
it received a donation of a large assortment of stuffed animals
from the Mesopotamian region. Exhibits in the area devoted to archaeology
include pieces from different native cultures as well as others
belonging to cultures from other parts of the world.

Libertador General San Martín
This town lies 55 km away from the city of Paraná and 18 km away
from Diamante. To get there one must travel down provincial route
No. 11 up to Diamante and then take national route No. 131. The
town developed around the Colegio Adventista del Plata (Adventist
School) that was founded towards the end of the 19th century.
