This museum harbors the original be of the first chapel in Federación which was inaugurated in 1850. One of its most valuable exhibits is a figure of Christ carved by hand in ceibo wood by the Guaraní Indians and coated with plaster which is approximately over 220 years old. There is also a marble plate engraved with the words "Municipality 1888". The museum also has a large number of photographs of the old city of Federación as well as a wide assortment of objects of everyday life. Exhibits include a collection of arrowheads, and sling and boleadora stones that belonged to the Guaraní tribes.

Federación
Federación is located to the west of the Salto Grande dam and is 315km distant from Paraná and 54km. away from Concordia down national routes No.18 and 14. This city came into being when the old city of Federación was covered by the waters of the dam which makes it the newest city in the whole country.
