The
event that gave rise to the creation of this museum was the First
Salon of Plastic Artists of the Littoral Region carried out in 1948.
It is one of the oldest museums of the province. In addition to
harboring an important collection of Argentine and foreign artists,
temporal exhibitions of the different artistic disciplines are organized
on a permanent basis. It owns works by Supisiche, Forte, Gambartes,
Liberti, and Perlotti, amongst others.
Concordía
Concordia is located on the banks of the Uruguay River distant 267km.
from the city of Paraná down national routes No.18 and 14. Sites
worth visiting are the Cathedral of St. Anthony of Padua, the Rivadavia
Park and the ruins of San Carlos Palace, erected in 1888 and destroyed
a fire in 1938. The Salto Grande is 20km away from the city while
El Palmar National Park is at a distance of 70km.
