From Buenos Aires:
National Route N°9 until Rosario. There continue to the
North through the National Route N°11 that leads you to
Formosa.
Another
option: surrounding the river Paraná through route
N°9 and then route N°12 until Corrientes Capital where
you should cross to Chaco and continue through National route
N°11.
From
Paraguay, International bridges:
Two
international bdridges on the river Pilcomayo: Ignacio de
Loyola, that unites Clorinda (Arg.) with Puerto Falcón (Paraguay);
the Juan Domingo Perón unites General Belgrano (Argentina)
with Gral. Bruguez (Paraguay); and one footbridge unites Clorinda
(Argentina) with Puerto Elsa, today Nanawa (Paraguay).
Boats
Between the city of Formosa and Alberdi (Paraguay), also between
Port Pilcomayo and Itá Enramada (Paraguay). There is another
service between Colonia Cano (Argentina) and the city of Pilar
(Paraguay).
Bus
Are services from Buenos Aires and some other provinces direct
to Formosa. Also there are services from Paraguay.
Air
From Buenos Aires and some other provinces to the
International AirPort of Formosa.
Train
Are
load trains that comunicat with Salta and all Formosa.
