Dr. Maradona was born in Santa Fe, got a doctor's degree in Medicine in Buenos Aires and in settled in Resistencia. He participated in the war waged in Chaco in his medical capacity. On his way from the city of Formosa to Salta, he accidentally passed by Estanislao del Campo where he ended up living for 50 years. He died in 1994, soon after his 100th birthday. He was proposed as a candidate to receive the Nobel Prize for Peace on two occasions.
