facing the park in front of the Church of San José de las Campanas
Open Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 to 12a. m.
This
museum was built around the collection assembled by the Juárez family.
There are several pieces on display belonging to the Aguada culture
that had a complex religious ideology based on the worship of a
sun god and a feline (the jaguar). Aguada was a typically Andean
society that developed irrigation techniques and an outstanding
technology for working stone, metal and especially ceramic.

Famatina mountains and is surrounded by multicolored snow-capped
peaks. Worthy of visiting is the church of San José de las Campanas,
built in 1760 and declared a National Historic Monument.
