"Julio Toledo" School Museum of the "Republic of Haiti" Teacher Training School Museum

The inauguration of this museum is scheduled for the end of 1998. The idea was proposed by professor Julio Toledo who classified and organized all the things that were in disuse in the school in order that they be preserved as museum exhibits. There are school benches, typing machines, material used to obtain water, a press, garden implements - it was formerly a farming school - and handiwork made of palm tree wood and stone.

Olta
Olta is located 172km. away from the city of La Rioja on national route No. 79. it is an area of woodlands and fruit plantations. It is on the circuit known as "The route of the caudillos", and was the setting for several armed encounters during the 19th century. Chacho Peñaloza was assassinated 3km. away from the town.
