"General Las Heras" Historical Military Museum of the 11th Regiment of Mountain Infantry

This museum comprises two halls devoted to the history of the Regiment that was created by Gervasio de Posadas in 1814. Exhibits include a replica of the Andes Army flag, a bust of General Las Heras, first Regiment chief, and numerous photographs and documents. It was inaugurated in September 1999. There are also uniforms, old-fashioned weapons and sundry trophies.

Tupungato
Tupungato lies 78km. away from the city of Mendoza and l,071m. above sea level. It is located in the Uco Valley facing Mt. Tupungato. One can visit the monument to "Glorious Renunciation" that evokes the return of General San Martín. To get there one must take national route No.40 (Southern Access) and then turn right and cover 22 km. along provincial route No. 86.
