This
museum is housed in an alpine cottage dating from 1956 and comprises
three halls exhibiting objects related to military history. Worthy
of mentioning are the bellows used during the liberation campaign;
the bit and saddle that belonged to General Perón; the wood stove
from the house that belonged to General Rufino Ortega, a former
governor of the province; a strip of natural silk cloth painted
in commemoration of the 1810 centennial; 1942 Sherman war tanks;
105 mm. Schneider cannons dating from 1928; the mast of the barracks
located in Mercedes, province of Corrientes, dating from 1890, that
was brought by the English; and campaign trunks. There is also a
special sector devoted to the Blue Berets. This is the only private
military museum in tire country. In 1995 a chapel was erected to
venerate Our lady of Lourdes. It contains a rosary brought from
the Holy Land that is over 300 years old and the clapper rope of
the vessel "General Belgrano" that was sunk by the English during
the Malvinas War.
