This museum comprises one large hall exhibiting all the insect species to be found in the province of Mendoza that were collected by personnel from the Department of agricultural Zoology. All the exhibits have been systematically classified by insect orders and families. There are also species from other regions in the country. The museum organizes guided tours for primary and secondary schoolchildren. Aside from the exhibits displayed in glass cases, there is also highly didactic computer-generated graphic material available. This museum works in cooperation with the museum of Natural Sciences of La Plata and the Bernardino Rivadavia Museum of Buenos Aires.
