• ACONCAGUA "THE STONE SENTINEL"
From the Valle de los Horcones you can admire the south-east face of Aconcagua (6,959m). This mountain is called "The Stone Sentinel" by the Huarpe indians and is the highest peak in the West. Further north you come to the statue of the Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) which marks the pass, Paso de la Cumbre, and the tunnel that leads into Chile. |
