• ACONCAGUA "THE STONE SENTINEL"
From the Valle de los Horcones you can admire the south-east face of Aconcagua (6,959m). This mountain is called "The Stone Sentinel" by the Huarpe indians and is the highest peak in the West. Further north you come to the statue of the Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) which marks the pass, Paso de la Cumbre, and the tunnel that leads into Chile.

San Rafael, economic capital of southern Mendoza and seat of some of the main wine cellars in Argentina. Malargüe, the Cañón del Río Atuel, La Cueva de las Brujas (The Witches' Cave), the Laguna de Llancanelo and the volcanic region of Payún Matrú.
