This
museum was named after Andrés Guacurarí a provincial hero who upheld
the cause of Federalism and fought by the side of Gervasio Artigas.
The museum comprises four halls containing archaeological pieces
and handicraft produced by the Guaraní culture. It also harbors
pieces of religious imagery such as an articulated Christ and historical
pieces and documents such as tombstone belonging to Rosas´ father.
Also on display are a series of portraits of federal heroes.
Posadas
The city of Posadas is the capital of the province of Misiones and
is located 1,060 km away from, the city of Buenos Aires. To get
there from Buenos Aires one must take national route No. 9 up to
its intersection with national route No. 14 and then travel down
this route towards the Notlh. Another alternative is to take national
route No. 12 that goes past the city of corrientes. Posadas lies
on the Paraná River and is 297 km. away from the province´s main
attraction: the Iguazú Falls, and 60 km away from the ruins of the
San Ignacio Miní Jesuitical Missions.
