Its three halls exhibit historial documents and archaeological pieces. It also has an area devoted to natural sciences. Amongst its most valuable exhibits there is a funerary urn belonging to the kaenguengue Indian settlement, a saber and a musket used in the wars waged against the Paulists´, a book of police records dating from 1880, Argentine and foreign coins from the 19th century and photographs of the first settlers taken last century. The museum operates in the oldest building in San Pedro which was formerly occupied by the Frontier Police Squadron.
