This documentary archive can trace its origin to the year 1882 when
the National Territory was created. It harbors decrees, resolutions,
mail and official bulletins. All the documents concerning the history
of Misiones and Posadas can be found here in addition to others
referring to the history of inmigration, the railway, the regions
dams and culture.
Posadas
The city of Posadas is the capital of the province of Misiones and
is located 1,060 km away from, the city of Buenos Aires. To get
there from Buenos Aires one must take national route No. 9 up to
its intersection with national route No. 14 and then travel down
this route towards the Notlh. Another alternative is to take national
route No. 12 that goes past the city of corrientes. Posadas lies
on the Paraná River and is 297 km. away from the province´s main
attraction: the Iguazú Falls, and 60 km away from the ruins of the
San Ignacio Miní Jesuitical Missions.
