"Juan
Yaparí" Art Museum

and from 2 to 6 p.m.
The museum occupies a building that belonged to the daily "La Tarde"
as from 1928, and later on to the newspaper "El Día".
In 1982 it was occupied by the Cultural Center. Juan Yaparí was
an Indian painter and engraver from the times of the jesuits. The
museum harbors a wealth of approximately 300 works by renowned argentine
painters and sculptors of the stature of Juan Carlos Castagnino,
Emilio Centurión, CarlosAlonso, Libero Badii, Raúl Soldi and Torres
Agüero, to mention just a few. There is also a hall for Temporary
exhibitions.
Posadas
The city of Posadas is the capital of the province of Misiones and
is located 1,060 km away from, the city of Buenos Aires. To get
there from Buenos Aires one must take national route No. 9 up to
its intersection with national route No. 14 and then travel down
this route towards the Notlh. Another alternative is to take national
route No. 12 that goes past the city of corrientes. Posadas lies
on the Paraná River and is 297 km. away from the province´s main
attraction: the Iguazú Falls, and 60 km away from the ruins of the
San Ignacio Miní Jesuitical Missions.
