This
museum comprises two halls devoted to sailing and regional history.
There are photographs of the motorboat "Guayga" dating from1920
and newspaper clippings. There is also a gun from the War of the
Triple Alliance. The founder of the museum is Maximiliano Oviedo,
a man who has spent his life sailing between Posadas and Puerto
Iguazú. He himself is in charge of the guided tours and offers visitors
an account of the history and meaning of each of the items on display.
Posadas
The city of Posadas is the capital of the province of Misiones and
is located 1,060 km away from, the city of Buenos Aires. To get
there from Buenos Aires one must take national route No. 9 up to
its intersection with national route No. 14 and then travel down
this route towards the Notlh. Another alternative is to take national
route No. 12 that goes past the city of corrientes. Posadas lies
on the Paraná River and is 297 km. away from the province´s main
attraction: the Iguazú Falls, and 60 km away from the ruins of the
San Ignacio Miní Jesuitical Missions.
