This
museum belongs to Rodolfo Allou whose works it preserves. Through
sculptures carved in wood, this artist has portrayed the jungle
of Misiones and its inhabitants. Allou was a dentist of paraguayan
oriigin and a grandnephew of Jules Verne. With the aid of chisels
and penknives he carved, polished smoothened the wood giving it
different shapes. Worthy of mentioning is his "Future Mother" for
which he used a pregnant Guaraní Indian as a model. In addition
to his representations of the jungle, he also has works on popular
artists such as Jorge Cafrune and Horacio Quiroga.
Puerto
Iguazú
The tripartite frontier town of Puerto Iguazú lies 297km. away from
the city of Posadas down national route No.12. It is located at
the point where rivers Iguazú and Paraná converge. The town´s main

the stand point of the Costanera and Tres Fronteras Avenues one
can enjoy a perfect view of the point where the Iguazú River pours
in to the Paraná as well as of the coastline of Brazil and Paraguay.
Foz de Iguazú in Brazil lies across the Tancredo Neves bridge. From
this town one can get to the Paraguayan city of Ciudad del Este
