This
museum was set up in the home where the Uruguayan writer Horacio
Quiroga, lived when he arrived in San Ignacio. He fell in love not
only with the place but with the surrounding jungle. It was here
that he wrote "Stories of love, madness and death" and "Jungle Stories",
amongst other books. The house harbors furniture, many photographs,
tools, tableware and some hand written papers.

San Ignacio is 59 km away from Posadas and can be reached down national
route No. 12. Its main attraction are the ruins of San Ignacio Miní
the best preserved Jesuitical Mission.
