Located
over the right margin of the river with the same name, in
a high mountain zone near to the National Park Lanin. Aluminé
is a word of the language Mapuche, taht significates Shining
Hole.
In
tradition this town was founded in February 23rd of 1884,
when white men started to come.
Nevertheless
a foundation date was given by the government in October 20
of 1915.
In easter week this town celebrates the party of the Pehuén
(regional tree), the same time of the year when the araucanian
fruit´s harvesting
it made.
