Its
name in mapuche means "corral amarillo", with nice and heterogenous
constructions.
In its surroundings has exellent panoramic views, of mountains
with changing colours.
Founded
in 1887, was the first capital of the Province. Until 1910,
was the economic center between the north patagonic and the
South of Chile.
Its
principal activites are agricultre and cattle, with productions
of fruits, goats, hortalizas, vegetables and fine fruit. It
is famous for the quality of the meat of "chivo" (goat cattle),
that is why here it is the anual celebration "Fiesta del Chivito".
Chos
Malal is the main gate of the northern of Neuquén.
Being near to the main touristic centers, make Chos Malal
the most importan services center of the North of Neuquen.
