Villa Pehuenia can be considered one of the front doors to the paradise of lights and colors that offer the forests, mountains and the lakes of the Patagonia.
Reflected from the border on the blue waters of the Lake Aluminé appears the charming villa. Its name comes from the Pehuén (also known like Araucaria), millenarians trees adored by the culture mapuche.
The nature offers a variety of activities to develop, like cavalcades, trekking and mountain bike. In addition the lakes are the ideal scene for the practice of kayak, fishing and rafting in the river. In those waters coexist a great community of trouts rainbow and pejerreyes.
The snow Park Batea Mahuida is the most important tourist point of Villa Pehuenia.
The volcano offers incredible panoramic views of the lakes Aluminé and Moquehue and volcanos Villarica, Llaima and Lonquimay.
During the winter is possible to practice a great variety of sports on snow, where the ski stands out. However in summer is possible to arrive walking or in cavalcades to the lagoon that rests within the crater of the volcano.
In the zone of the civic center everything is prepared to enjoy thorough the beauty of the villa and the wonderful landscapes that surround it. The viewpoint of the Cypresses and the Pehuenia are two panoramic points that offer very good views of the lagoons Pollo Laufquen and El Manzano and of the majestic Lake Aluminé.
