It is a rural locality a great population and very important for the coast of Buenos Aires. The fruitculture school is worth to visit.

Founded the 21 of August of 1817, it was originated to be a military reserve to protect the ranches of the zone.

All the years, the 15 of september, it is celebrated the party of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores and the day of Dolores.
