With more than 250 years, Mercedes, is a city very well known for the Rural Tourism, that people enjoy on weekends, salames - Here is the Party of the Salame Quintero - and historic places too.

It is only 100 Kms away from the Capital Federal, many people enjoy this locality and also near cities as Tomás Jofré or Gowland.

In the ranches you can anjoy a tipical country life, make activities, sports and anjoy the folklore of our gauchos.

In the center of the city you can visit the municipal palace, the Cathedral Ntra. Sra. de las Mercedes, the Church San Patricio, with an music organ of 4700 tubes, the museum of natural sciences, and the history museum of the city of Mercedes.

You can also go to te municipal park, of 54 hectares crossed by the river Luján, with services and a astronomy center.

You can´t leave Mercedes with out visiting the Pulpería (old grocer´s shop) of the year 1830, that until today it is open and many films where filmed here.
