Capital
of the Province of Río Negro, it is located to the right margin
of the River Negro. A modern brigde unites Viedma with Carmen
de Patagones (Buenos Aires).
The
principal acitivity is the agriculture and cattle productions.
Well known for the fruit productions and good wines.
It
is the oldest city of the Patagonia. Founded in April 22 of
1779, by Francisco de Viedma y Narváez and formed part of
the poblation known as Carmen de Patagones.
It
has everything a tourist need, and for recreations you can
also enjoy the river Negro.
