THE ARCHITECTURE OF SAN CARLOS DE BARILOCHE
This city stands out because of its buildings of stone and wood. At midday in the main square, a charming clock strikes the hour. Its four wooden figures of an indian, a missionary, a conquistador and a peasant, are representatives of the city's history. The Civic Centre is in the same square, and here, the Municipality building and the Museo de la Patagonia are both worth noting. The city's scientific and cultural progress is reflected in the Centro Atómico and the asociación musical Camerata Bariloche.
The Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi can be reached from Bariloche. Sailing across the lake you come to the Isla Victoria.
