Lola Mora was the first Argentine sculptress, a pioneer in mining, a researcher, urban developer and writer. The house was purchased by her father in 1869. lt is a typical colonial-style house with a tiled-roof, thick walls and a gallery. This house is irrefutable proof of the birth of the artist in Salta, an event which many place in the province of Tucumán.

El Tala
El Tala lies within the department of La Candelaria practically on the limit with the province of Tucumán. To get here one must take national route No. 9 up to its intersection with provincial route No. 6, then take this route and cover 10km. of consolidated dirt road.
